The oral tradition of passing down recipes and methods for creating staple dishes has continued from generation to generation. This is no different when it comes to seasoning our food. The use of spices in Indian food is legendary and Gujarati cooking, it's no different. With just a handful of ingredients, it's possible to create something delicious and filling, without the need to do anything too fancy or have any advanced skills!

By talking through 6 key spices and their taste profile and origins, it was demonstrated how to use them and tips for integrating them in daily life, whether in tea, food or even beauty practices. The moment proceded with a special artistic experimentation moment, focusing on the creation of watercolors and pigments, made through this family of spices and experimented on a variety of papers and fabrics.

Guests were welcomed with a special spice cocktail and then a selection of sharing dishes.
